The Asian Vision Institute (AVI), ASEAN Youth Advocates Network (AYAN)-Cambodia, and WEduShare have entered into a cooperation on building youth capacity and development in Cambodia.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed late last week at a ceremony hosted by the AVI’s Centre for Advanced Research and Legal Studies.

The event was presided over by H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions and Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of AVI, alongside H.E. Suos Yara, Director-General of the Asian Cultural Council.

The MoU was formally inked by Ms. Sok Khieu Rosette, Director of CARLS representing AVI, H.E. Mr. Norn Samnangseymony, Country Director of AYAN Cambodia, and Mr. Sreang Boromey, Director of Strategy and Partnership of WEduShare.

‘This MoU, established between AVI, AYAN Cambodia, and WEduShare, signifies a landmark step in fostering cooperative initiatives to disseminate legal knowledge and studies, and the pivotal role of youth in capacity building and develo
pment,’ read a joint press release.

In her welcoming address, Ms. Sok Khieu Rosette expressed profound gratitude to the three organisations, underscoring that as a young centre, CARLS has strategically leveraged the power of collaboration as a cornerstone for successful project execution.

The overarching objective is to broaden the reach of knowledge and enhance its accessibility through projects such as the Acara podcast, she said.

H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana delivered the opening remarks underscoring the vast potential of youth to enact meaningful change through advocacy.

He stressed that the key to a prosperous future is within the youth, attainable through concerted efforts in capacity building and development. He further encouraged all parties to continue with the project and collaboration, signifying his strong support for their shared objectives.

Under the MoU, AVI, AYAN Cambodia, and WEduShare will continue to enhance their collaboration, underpinned by a shared commitment to societal betterment and the
empowerment of the next generation.
