Mondulkiri Province Plans Long-stay Tour Package Development

Mondulkiri provincial administration has outlined tourism programmes for local and international tourists to visit the province for long stay of four or five days at any tourist attractions, H.E. Men Ngoy, President of the Provincial Council said.

At a press conference organised by the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit here on Feb. 24, H.E. Men Ngoy briefed about the Mondulkiri Tourism Development Master Plan 2021-2035, stating that the Royal Government has agreed to set six priority areas for development and to determine the scope of investment and development activities in those areas.

They are ecotourism corridors and ecotourism of the five wildlife sanctuaries, Bousra-Dakdam cultural tourism and ecotourism corridor, Sen Monorom city, O’ Reang district connected with the development of Mondulkiri airport, urban areas of Koh Nhek district, and integrated tourism areas at the border.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the master plan will be able to create about 80,000 jobs and generate some US$500 million in direct revenue for the national economy.
