The Ministry of Health is committed to further improve public health service for all Cambodian people in order to enhance the people’s well-being.
The remark was made by H.E. Or Vandine, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health at a press conference held on Sept. 15 at the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit in Phnom Penh.
Toward the ambition, more public health facilities with modern equipment have been built across the country, she added.
“It is necessary to foster public health service at the local level through the establishment of health centres and referral hospitals in cities and districts,” she continued.
The ministry is also reforming public health service provision at health centres and referral hospitals to meet the needs of the people.
As of July 2022, Cambodia has 1,283 health centres, 117 health posts, and 129 referral hospitals.
