Minister of Tourism to Attend Major Tourism Events in UK and Saudi Arabia


London: H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, will lead a delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) to participate in the World Travel Market 2025 in London, United Kingdom from Nov. 4 to 6, and the 26th Session of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from Nov. 7 to 11.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the World Travel Market 2025 is one of the major annual international tourism exhibitions in Europe. It is expected to attract over 50,000 participants and more than 4,000 exhibition booths from over 180 countries around the world.



During this international tourism exhibition, H.E. Huot Hak will hold working meetings with major tourism institutions and companies in the United Kingdom, particularly those in the European market, to strengthen cooperation and further promote the flow of international tourists to Cambodia, according to the ministry’s announcement dated Nov. 3.



Following the participation in this international tourism exhibition, H.E Minister will lead a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Tourism to attend the 26th UN Tourism General Assembly in Riyadh. This is the largest meeting of the World Tourism Organisation, held every two years to gather Ministers of Tourism from more than 160 member countries to discuss, set directions, and determine priorities for global tourism development.



During this General Assembly, H.E. Huot Hak will preside over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral tourism cooperation with counterpart countries, as well as hold working meetings with the leadership of Saudi Arabia and several other countries.
