Minister Highlights Effort to Reduce Impacts of COVID-19 on Education

Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, has highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia's effort to reduce the impacts of COVID-19 on education system.

The minister, H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, underlined the endeavour in a virtual ceremony to cheer the International Day of Education early this week.

Education ministers from other countries and representatives from different key stakeholders also joined the virtual event.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron also shared the government's strategic plans to strengthen the national education system.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has launched new learning and teaching methodologies, and reforms to upgrade education quality, factoring in possible threats by the COVID-19.

Organised by the International Cooperation Office (ICO) of the Educational Department of the Philippines, the International Day of Education this year was themed "Changing Course, Transforming Education".

This is a forum to furher promote the basic human right to education to build a sustainale, inclusive and peaceful future.
