Minimum Temperature to Drop to 17 Degrees Celsius This Week

The minimum temperature would drop to 17 degrees Celsius from Jan. 18 to 24, especially at the Dangrek mountain range and northeastern highland areas.

According to an announcement on new weather forecast released this morning by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), the provinces of Mondulkiri, Rattanakiri, Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear would be the most affected by the low temperature.

For the lowland areas, in particular Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey and Pailin provinces, the temperature would decrease up to 20-23 degrees Celsius, it pointed out.

In the coastal areas, the temperature would vary between 22 and 33 degrees Celsius, added the source, calling on the public to increase their vigilant of the low temperature.
