Letter of Understanding on Implementation of WFP Country Strategic Plan 2024-2028 in Cambodia Signed

The Royal Government of Cambodia and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) inked here on Jan. 30 the Letter of Understanding on the Implementation of the WFP Country Strategic Plan 2024-2028 in the Kingdom of Cambodia. H.E. Ms. YENTIENG Puthirasmey, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, and Ms. Clair Conan, WFP Representative in Cambodia, co-signed the Letter of Understanding. According to a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation issued this evening, the Cambodia Country Strategic Plan (CSP) for 2024-2028 at the amount of US$63,378,500 will assist national efforts through the provision of technical assistance and policy advice, social protection, food systems and disaster management with the aim to promote healthy diets and adapt to climate change. They are aligned well with Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I and the National Strategic Development Plan of Cambodia . For over 40 years, WFP has supported the Royal Government of Cambodia to improve food and nutrition security for the most vulnerable people and to achieve its UN Sustainable Development Goals and socio-economic development.
