Khmer food is featured in the latest September issue of Wanderlust magazine, one of the most popular travel magazines in the UK, according to the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism

This is part of the effort to promote Cambodia as a food tourism destination (Gastronomy Tourism) under the framework of the "Tourism Commercial Capacity Building Programme (TCBP)", a collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and the French Development Agency (AFD), it underlined.

“Cambodia was an important crossroads on the ancient Maritime Silk Road that connected India and China via modern-day Malaysia and Indonesia. This is why visitors discover so many diverse flavours blended into its unique culinary palette, ranging from aromatic curries to fresh spring rolls with a sprinkling of Gallic influence along the way,” wrote the article entitled “A taste of ancient Khmer cuisine”.

Five popular dishes introduced in the magazine are Wok-fried crab with pepper, Naom ben chok noodles, Fish amok, Bobor porridge, and Pomelo salad with freshwater shrimp.
