Khan Jessa Wins Gold Medal at 2022 Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Cambodian-American Jiu-Jitsu heroine, Khan Jessa, has won a gold medal from the 2022 Pen Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the U.S.

Mr. Peter Khan, her father, underlined that his daughter competed twice among the 4,600 competitors from around the world.

Taking place from April 6 to 10, the 2022 Pen Jiu-Jitsu Championship is the biggest event in North America, and also the last competition for Khan Jessa before joining the Cambodian national team for the SEA Games 2022 in Vietnam, said Mr. Peter Khan.

Khan Jessa obtained the gold medal in the weight of 53.5 kilogrammes after defeating her Brazilian counterpart, Thamires Aquino, he added.

The Cambodian-Mexican-American Khan Jessa, 21, has got many world titles in the past few years. She is also Cambodia’s gold medalist of Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia and ASEAN Games 2019 in the Philippines.
