Japanese Company Eying Trade and Business Potential in Cambodia

A delegation of Japan-based FORVAL Corporation is eying more trade and business potential in Cambodia.

The delegation along with H.E. Katsuhiro Shinohara, former Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia and also President of Cambodia International Education Supporting Foundation paid here yesterday a courtesy visit to Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak, during which the company expressed its intention to contribute to the SMEs development in Cambodia and pledged to expand its business activities in the country by encouraging more Japanese investors to invest in Cambodia.

H.E. Pan Sorasak laid stress on the ministry’s endeavour in improving business environment in Cambodia, and requested FORVAL to study the possibility to expand its business and investment in the Kingdom.

H.E. Minister also sought support from H.E. Katsuhiro Shinohara and Japanese private sector for the establishment of Cambodia-Japan Free Trade Agreement for the common interest of both countries.

H.E. Katsuhiro Shinohara spoke highly of the effort of Ministry of Commerce which has built trust among businessmen and investors in Cambodia.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue their cooperation in coordinating and promoting business and investment activities, particularly in potential areas, to further boost trade and economic growth between the two nations.
