Installation of Temporary Border Markers Nears Completion Along Cambodia-Thailand Border

Phnom penh: The Joint Survey Team of Cambodia and Thailand has successfully installed 158 out of 166 temporary border markers between Posts No. 52 and No. 59, achieving approximately 95 percent completion. These markers have been strategically placed along the boundary in Kamrieng district, Battambang province, which borders Thailand’s Chanthaburi province.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the joint field operation took place from November 8 to 24, 2025, with both nations expecting to complete the installation work by November 25, 2025. This effort marks a significant step in the ongoing collaboration between the two countries in demarcating their shared border.

Under the agreed plan, Cambodia and Thailand will also continue with aerial photography using drones along the section of the border line between Posts No. 52 and No. 59. This phase of the operation is scheduled to begin on November 27, 2025, and aims to further solidify the border demarcation efforts.
