Kampong Speu has seen job opportunities and improved livelihood of the locals - thanks to increasing industrial investment in the province.

The remark was made by H.E. Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction when presiding over the inauguration of the province's new stadium.

According to the deputy prime minister, about 500 factories in Kampong Speu are providing jobs for over 300,000 Cambodians.

The industrial sector development does not only improve the province's economy, but also contributes significantly to national growth, he added.
