Guatemala to Foster Culture and Trade Cooperation with Cambodia

The Republic of Guatemala is committed to further promote the cooperation on culture and trade with Cambodia.

The commitment was made by H.E. Carlos Humberto Jiménez Licona, newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to Cambodia, while paying a courtesy call on Cambodian Acting Head of State Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, here in Phnom Penh on Sept. 13 to present his credentials.

The diplomat spoke highly of the long-lasting relations and good collaboration between Cambodia and Guatemala; and pledged to advance the cooperation with Cambodia and other ASEAN member countries.

Samdech Say Chhum congratulated the new role of H.E. Carlos Humberto Jiménez Licona in Cambodia, and expressed his conviction that the friendship ties, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries will further tightened and expanded during his diplomatic mission.

The Senate and National Assembly of Cambodia are ready to closely work with Guatemala in all domains in order to enhance the relations and cooperation beneficial for both peoples and nations, continued the the acting head of state.

Samdech Say Chhum also conveyed greetings from His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia and Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk to the president and people of the Republic of Guatemala.
