GGGI to Support Cambodia’s Green Development

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is committed to support the Ministry of Environment to achieve its vision, especially for green development in Cambodia.

The commitment was made here on Monday by Ms. Karolien Casaer-Diez, GGGI Country Representative in Cambodia during a farewell meeting with H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment.

Ms. Karolien Casaer-Diez spoke highly of the minister as well as the ministry's leadership and line departments for their good cooperation and promotion of green development in Cambodia.

H.E. Say Samal underlined the correlation between sustainable improvement of Cambodian people's living condition and Cambodia's climate resilience and environmental protection.

To that end, the Royal Government of Cambodia is also working hard in developing professional human resources, promoting skilled workforce and resource efficiency and enhancing Cambodia's competitiveness regionally and internationally, added the minister.

He also lauded GGGI for its cooperation with the ministry, particularly in urban development, solid waste management and green solution.
