Phnom penh: The General Department of Immigration (GDI) of the Ministry of Interior has urged the public to exercise caution and remain vigilant against fraudulent websites claiming to provide electronic entry permit services to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, a website with the address https://edocs.online/index.php has recently impersonated the official GDI platform, misleading travellers into submitting personal information through a fake electronic entry system for arrivals to Cambodia via international airports.
‘The GDI would like to clarify that the above website is not legitimate and has not been created or authorised by the GDI for Cambodia e-Arrival Card,’ the statement read. ‘Passengers entering the Kingdom of Cambodia through any international airport are advised to verify the authenticity of websites carefully and avoid accessing fraudulent sites, which may cause financial loss or theft of personal information.’
The GDI further stressed that www.arrival.gov.kh and the ‘Cambodia e-Arrival’ app are the only official digital platforms for completing the Cambodia e-Arrival Card, and that no service fee is required.
