Foreign Tourism Delegations to Tour Potential Islands, Beaches, and Eco-Tourism Site

Ministry of Tourism will lead some 120 international tourism delegates to visit various potential beaches, islands, and eco-tourism sites during the World-Bays Club’s 2022 World Congress in December in Preah Sihanouk province.

H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, shared the information in a meeting held early this week to discuss the preparation of the World-Bays Club’s 2022 World Congress and the 9th Sea Festival.

“During the festival, more than 120 international tourism delegates will visit coastal destinations, and more tourists are expected to come to enjoy Cambodia’s luxury beaches,” he said.

In the post-COVID-19 tourism recovery phase, only beaches, islands and eco-tourism destinations play an important role in attracting more tourists, he added.

The main destinations planned for the international delegates include Koh Rong, Koh Thansur, Koh Song Saa, Koh Krabei, Koh Russey, Peam Krasop ecotourism community in Koh Kong province, as well as beaches in Sihanoukville, according to the ministry.

Delegates from Vietnam, Thailand, China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Israel, France, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Brazil, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Senegal, Angola and the Caribbean Sea will attend the World-Bays Club’s 2022 World Congress, which will run from Dec. 9 to 14.

The 9th Sea Festival will take place from Dec. 9 to 11.
