Exhibition on ‘Living Human Treasures’ Works’ Aims to Foster Love and Participation in Intangible Cultural Heritage Preservation


Phnom penh: The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts is hosting an exhibition on ‘Living Human Treasures’ Works’ from Oct. 6 to 8 at the Khmer Kite Museum of the Cultural Development Department in Phnom Penh. The event was officially inaugurated on Monday under the presidency of H.E. Hab Touch, Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, with the participation of senior officials, living human treasures, students, and many distinguished guests.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the works of 15 Cambodian living human treasures are being displayed to the public, especially to youth and students, to deepen their understanding of the artistic mastery and contributions of Cambodia’s living human treasures, as well as to raise awareness of the importance of intangible cultural heritage. The three-day exhibition also aims to inspire young people to cherish, preserve, and promote the nation’s rich intangible cultural heritage.
