PETALING JAYA, Filipino club Dynamic Herb Cebu FC harbour a big ambition to beat Selangor FC in the second Group H match of the 2024/25 Asian Football Confederation Champions League 2 (ACL 2) here, tomorrow night.
Its head coach Mustafa Ati Goksu said that his team which has yet to earn any points has traveled here with one goal in mind which is to win.
He said his side has also made thorough preparations ahead of the clash, knowing that facing the Red Giants led by Nidzam Jamil, who have an excellent home record this season, will not be an easy task.
‘We prepare ourselves very well for this match, we know it’s not going to be an easy match but rest assured we doing our best to give a good game tomorrow and the goal is to win. Of course, it’s a new pitch and new environment that we playing in the home of Selangor but again we prepared well for this game.
‘We know who we are up against. We will look at things on the positive side. The most important thing I trust my players, management and coaching staff
and everyone will work hard to achieve tomorrow’s target,’ he told a pre-match press conference at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Stadium here, today.
Echoing the view is Dynamic Herb Cebu’s new centre-back, Samuel Strong who is determined to help the team achieve a positive result.
‘We prepared well and worked hard, we will try our best, and of course, we play to win, so we are going out there to get a victory,’ said the former Rajpracha FC player.
For the record, Selangor drew 1-1 with Thailand’s Muangthong United, while Dynamic Herb Cebu suffered a 0-6 thrashing to South Korean club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in their respective first group match.
So far, Selangor have maintained a 100 per cent winning record at home in all competitions this season.
