DPM Bin Chhin Receives Australian Ambassador

AKP Phnom Penh, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Bin Chhin, Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers has received Australian Ambassador and discussed Cambodia-Australia bilateral cooperation.

In the meeting yesterday at the Friendship Building here in Phnom Penh, the Ambassador H.E. Pablo Chiho Kang, updated the deputy prime minister on Australia's partnership with the Mekong countries including Cambodia focusing especially on economic, trade, investment and environmental cooperation.

He also highlighted Australia's continuous support to Cambodia's human resource development through scholarship provision.

On the support to the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), according to the ambassador, Australia is supporting one million U.S. dollars for 2021 and another million for next year.

H.E. Bin Chhin spoke highly of Australia's support and contribution for the development of Cambodia and thanked the country as well as H.E. Pablo Chiho Kang for the assistance.

Both sides were positive that bilateral cooperation between the two countries will continue to blossom.
