COVID-19: Zero New Death for Three Consecutive Weeks

Cambodia reported zero COVID-19-related death for three weeks in a row; the death toll thus remains at 3,015, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning.

But, it continued, 22 new cases, all of Omicron variant, were recorded. 17 of the new infections were locally transmitted and the rest were imported.

The COVID-19 tally in the Kingdom now increased to 121,116, including 663 Omicron cases (241 Omicron community cases).

Meanwhile, the ministry announced the recovery of 20 other patients; bringing the total cured cases in the Kingdom to 117,267.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
