COVID-19: Recovered Cases Reach Nearly 100,000, but New Infections Remain High

The total number of recovered cases from COVID-19 in Cambodia rose to nearly 100,000 after 479 more patients have been successfully cured, pointed out a news release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning.

But at the same time, it added, the tally of COVID-19 in the Kingdom jumped to 106,619 with the detection of 638 new cases, of which 113 were imported.

Besides, the pandemic has claimed 22 more deaths; bringing the total death cases to 2,176.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
