Some 503 more COVID-19 patients have successfully been cured; bringing the total recovered cases in Cambodia to 122,380, the Ministry of Health announced this morning.
But at the same time, 479 new cases of COVID-19, all of Omicron variant, were detected, it said, adding that of the new infections, 453 were locally transmitted and 26 were imported,
The Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally now increased to 129,078, including 8,625 Omicron cases (7,835 Omicron community cases).
Besides, another new death was reported; the total death cases thus rose to 3,027, the same source pointed out.
The first COVID-19 case was found in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
