COVID-19: New Cases Increase Slightly to 51 This Morning

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Cambodia saw a slight increase this morning to 51, up from 48 yesterday, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.

These are PCR test results, the same source underlined, adding that 5 of which were imported and the rest were connected to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

The national counts rose now to 119,687, including 19,755 imported cases, it pointed out.

Meanwhile, there were 48 new recoveries, but 5 new deaths (4 of them have not been vaccinated); the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom jumped to 116,072 and 2,881, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
