The number of new positive cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia fell to 499 this morning; bringing the tally to 82,898.

Figures from the Ministry of Health show that 125 of the new confirmed cases were imported, and the rest were community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

Moreover, 882 more patients have been successfully cured, but 17 new deaths were reported. The total recovered cases and death toll in the Kingdom thus stood at 77,037 and 1,602, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
