COVID-19: Daily Cases Jump to Nearly 1,000 This Morning

Ministry of Health has announced the detection of 978 new cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia; bringing the tally to 112,651.
According to the ministry’s news release made public this morning, among the new cases, 81 were imported and the rest were connected to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
Meanwhile, 17 new deaths, but 605 more recovered cases were registered; the total death and cured cases in the Kingdom stood at 2,319 and 102,827, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
