COVID-19: 628 New Infections, but 486 New Recoveries

Cambodia this morning reported 628 new cases of COVID-19, of which 121 were imported, according to the Ministry of Health’s news release.

The national counts thus rose to 105,344, including 18,116 imported cases, the same source pointed out.

At the same time, it added, 486 more patients have recovered, but 17 others have lost their lives due to the pandemic; bringing the total cured and death cases in Cambodia to 98,186 and 2,140, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
