Cambodia detected 558 new cases of COVID-19, all of Omicron variant, of which 554 were locally transmitted and 4 were imported, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning.
The country’s COVID-19 tally now surged to 128,133, including 7,680 Omicron cases (6,932 Omicron community cases).
At the same time, up to 428 new recoveries, but a new death were recorded; bringing the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom to 121,553 and 3,023, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
