Cambodia’s Ministry of Health this morning announced the recovery of 425 more patients from COVID-19; bringing the total cured cases to 129,717.
But at the same time, it continued, 139 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, all of Omicron variant, of which 115 were locally transmitted and 24 were imported.
The Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally now rose to 134,352, including 13,899 Omicron cases (12,662 Omicron community cases).
Moreover, the pandemic claimed another life; the death toll thus stood at 3,048, the ministry pointed out.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
