Cambodian PM to Attend 54th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet is going to attend the 54th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024 in Davos, Switzerland on Jan. 16-17, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation's press release. The upcoming participation will be made at the invitation of Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum. Under the theme of rebuilding trust, the meeting will focus on principles such as transparency, consistency, and accountability. World leaders and top corporate executives will take part along with heads of major international organisations, civil society and youth representatives, social entrepreneurs, and media leaders. Accompanying Samdech Thipadei and the First Lady, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, will be H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, senior government officials and busi ness leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. Samdech Thipadei is scheduled to speak about restoring faith in the global system at an informal lunch for world economic leaders, focusing on win-win approaches to address global concerns and foster peaceful engagement and dialogue. On the sidelines of the forum, Samdech Thipadei will meet with H.E. Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and business figures from leading global companies to attract investments to Cambodia.
