Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has invited Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), to attend the 2nd ASEAN Global Dialogue to be held in Phnom Penh in November this year.
The invitation was extended to the WEF executive chairman during their meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland on May 24, on the sidelines of the WEF Annual Meeting 2022, according to the National Television of Cambodia (TVK).
The first ASEAN Global Dialogue also took place in Phnom Penh during Cambodia’s chairmanship of ASEAN in 2012 with the participation of some large financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, the Cambodian Premier said.
Prof. Klaus Schwab thanked Samdech Techo Hun Sen for the invitation, stressing that WEF highly valued ASEAN as well as Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s key role as the ASEAN Chair this year.
The WEF executive chairman said he had also been invited to G20 Summit in Indonesia and he will take this opportunity to pay a visit to Cambodia to see the real progress of the Kingdom, during which an agreement between Cambodia and WEF will be signed.
