Cambodian PM Announces to End Self-quarantine

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this afternoon announced to terminate his self-quarantine after testing negative again for COVID-19.

“Dear beloved compatriots, after taking another tests, I was confirmed negative for COVID-19, therefore I have to end my quarantine and will work as usual,” he underlined through his official Facebook page.

On Feb. 25, 2022, Samdech Techo Hun Sen informed the public about the self-quarantine after coming in contact with a COVID-19 positive person.

Cambodia has been currently hitting by the fast-spreading Omicron variant. As of this morning, the country registered in total 130,276 cases of COVID-19, of which 9,823 are of Omicron variant (8,956 Omicron community cases). Some 123,772 patients have so far recovered, but 3,032 have lost their lives due to the pandemic.
