Our teams are ready to try their best in the games, said Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) H.E. Vath Chamroeun adding that winning or losing is one thing, however, through the participation amid the pandemic threat wants to show our support for the Olympic Games that facilitate sports for peace in the world.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun is the lead of the participating delegation from Cambodia and was enthusiastic to parade the Cambodian flag at the opening of the games on July 23 along with other countries’ teams.

Cambodia could not attend the Olympic Games from 1972 to 1996 due to the country’s civil war, and became an active member of the International Olympic Committee after the period.

As a peace loving nation, Cambodia is also a strong believer that sports will bring solidarity among nations and peace to the world.
