Cambodia to Maintain COVID-19 Vaccine Stock

Cambodia has to make sure of the stock of vaccines against COVID-19 and during the first semester of this year, at least 8 million doses of vaccines will arrive in Phnom Penh.

The information was shared by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen at the groundbreaking ceremony of a new flyover in Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh his morning.

Of the new vaccines, he pointed out, 5 million doses will be donated by China and the rest 3 million will be purchased by Cambodia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed the success of the national vaccination campaign, adding that some 6 million people had received the booster doses.

According to the Prime Minister, zero new death case has been reported for nearly a month. Besides, no more Alpha and Delta variants have been detected in Cambodia, but only Omicron which reached now in total over 800 cases.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen took the opportunity to remind his compatriots of the health safety measures, especially the Three Dos, Three Don’ts, and to respect the traffic law as a lot of people will travel during the Chinese New Year celebration which will begin tomorrow.
