Cambodia To Hold 7th National Election on July 23 Next Year

The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has decided to set a specific date for the 7th general elections.

According to the RGC’s resolution signed by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen on June 29, the upcoming parliamentary election will take place on Sunday July 23, 2023.

The Office of the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Economy and Finance, and other relevant ministries and institutions are ordered to carry out the resolution effectively.

The 6th legislature national election was held on July 29, 2018 in 22,967 polling stations across the country with the participation of 20 political parties. The ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) won a landslide victory.
