Cambodia, Thailand Stand Ready to Support Myanmar

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand have reaffirmed their readiness to support Myanmar to solve its ongoing crisis.
“We concurred that there is no quick-fix for the Myanmar crisis; and without a doubt, the process must be Myanmar-led. As ASEAN family, we stand ready to offer support,” wrote H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on his official Facebook page yesterday evening, following his phone conversation with his Thai counterpart H.E. Don Pramudwinai.
As ASEAN Chair, he underlined, Cambodia will continue to approach this task in goodwill while striving to ensure that ASEAN keeps moving forward.
The Cambodian top diplomat expressed thanks to H.E. Don Pramudwinai for the understanding and encouragement while Cambodia shoulders this burden during its Chairmanship this year.
As the ASEAN Chair, Cambodia has proposed initiatives to achieve peace and further development in Myanmar.
