Cambodia, Switzerland Bilateral Cooperation Appreciated

Cambodia and the Swiss Confederation have appreciated good bilateral cooperation during the past 60 years.

Cambodian Senior Minister and First Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) H.E. Ly Thuch made the note in his remarks to cheer the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Cambodia-Switzerland Diplomatic Relations at Chaktomuk Conference Hall late last week.

“Over the past 60 years, Cambodia and Switzerland have had an excellent record of cordial friendship and close cooperation in many fields of mutual interest, both at the national and international level,” said H.E. Ly Thuch.

In recent years, Cambodia-Switzerland ties continue to grow with noticeable momentum as evidenced by the growing trade volume, high-level visits, and regular political dialogue between the two foreign ministries, as well as other relevant ministerial meetings and multilateral framework cooperation, he added.

He continued that Switzerland's support for Cambodia in areas such as health, governance, agriculture, food security, skills building, and mine clearance has contributed significantly to the development, well-being and prosperity in Cambodia.
