Cambodia Refines Nearly 1,500kg of Gold Ore in 7 Months

Australian firm Renaissance Limited (Cambodia), which received a license to operate Cambodia’s first commercial-scale gold mining in Mondulkiri province, has refined nearly 1,500kg of gold ore in seven months.

The amount of gold ore was shared by H.E. Suy Sem, Minister of Mines and Energy, during the handover ceremony of the ministry’s former office building to the National Committee for Disaster Management, on Jan. 14.

Renaissance Minerals started commercial gold refinery production in June this June in O’ Kvau area, Keo Sema district, Mondulkiri province.

As planned, the company will be able to refine at estimated 3 tonnes of gold ore per year for the first eight years.
