Cambodia, Laos Reach Some Cooperation Documents

Cambodia and Lao PDR have reached two historically significant documents during Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen’s official visit to Vientiane on Feb. 13-14, 2023.

The two documents were signed by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his Lao counterpart H.E. Sonexay SIPHANDONE, following their bilateral summit on Feb. 13.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued at the end of the visit, the two signed documents are the Treaty on Delimitation of the State Border between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic; and the Action Plan for the Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (2023-2027).

Besides, the two Prime Ministers also witnessed the signing of the Agreed Minutes of the Meeting of the Cambodian-Lao, Lao-Cambodian Joint Boundary Commission by H.E. Var Kim Hong, Senior Minister in charge of Border Affairs and Chairman of the Cambodia- Laos Joint Boundary Commission and H.E. Saleumxay KOMMASITH, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR and Chairman of the Laos-Cambodia Joint Boundary Commission.
