The Kingdom of Cambodia and the French Republic have expressed their satisfaction with the growing relations and cooperation between both nations, especially between the two Senates.

While receiving courtesy visit from newly appointed Ambassador of the French Republic to Cambodia H.E. Jacques Pellet at the Senate Palace in Phnom Penh this morning, Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate, spoke highly of the good cooperation and mutual support, as well as of the good friendship and partnership in light of COVID-19 crisis.

The senate president thanked France for its key role in the peace building process in Cambodia and for tis assistance for the reconstruction and development of the Kingdom.

For his part, H.E. Jacques Pellet pledged to do his best to further foster the relationship and cooperation between the two countries.

H.E. Ambassador told Samdech Say Chhum of the upcoming visit to Cambodia by the Secretary-General of La Francophonie, accompanies by many investors (March 2022), and of the France-Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship Group.
