Cambodia exported 350,092 tonnes of milled rice to 56 countries and region in the first seven months of this year, earning US$218 million, according to a report of the Cambodia Rice Federation.

China remains the biggest market for Kingdom’s milled rice export, stated the report, adding that some 169,766 tonnes of milled rice or 48 percent were exported to China in the said period.

The EU bloc is the second largest market, importing 32 percent of Cambodia’s total export, while ASEAN countries shared 9 percent, and other destinations 10 percent, read the report.

At the same time, the paddy rice export was recorded at 1.95 million tonnes, and most of which were shipped to neighbouring Vietnam.
