Cambodia Bags 17 Medals from WDSF Superstar Championship 2022

Cambodia has earned 17 medals – four gold, ten bronze and three silver – from the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) Superstar Championship 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Taking place from Nov. 11 to 13, the WDSF Superstar Championship 2022 attracts dancers from 15 countries and territories including Cambodia, Australia, China, Germany, Italy, Poland, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Mongolia, France, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the host Vietnam.

The gold medalists are Ms. San Rosa in Grade F2 adult standard Tango and FD adult standard Waltz, Tango; Mr. Seng Sokim and Ms. Mov Danita in Adults Grade E2 Latin Rumba; and Mr. Chum Liheang and Ms. Or Raksa in Event Grade D Adult Latin (Cha Cha Cha Rumba).

Cambodia Dance Sport Federation sent 13 athletes, coaches and delegates to join the WDSF Superstar Championship 2022.

At the same time, Cambodian petanque athletes have returned home early this week with 7 medals – three gold, two silver, and two bronze – from the 4th Asian Boules Sport Confederation Petanque Championship Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand.

The success is expected to further build confidence of Cambodian athletes for the 32nd SEA Games 2023 to be hosted by Cambodia.
