Phnom Penh:H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, met with H.E. Dominic Williams, the UK Ambassador to Cambodia, on October 8 to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and logistics development.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting included the participation of officials from the CDC and the British Embassy in Cambodia. Discussions covered strategies to improve Cambodia's trade and investment environment. Key points included streamlining administrative procedures, leveraging the UK's trade preference scheme, promoting Green Special Economic Zones, and enhancing workforce capacity.
The dialogue also addressed establishing a cooperation framework in the logistics sector, particularly focusing on the Comprehensive Intermodal Transport and Logistics System Master Plan 2023-2033. Both parties expressed their commitment to maintaining strong cooperation and enhancing bilateral relations to benefit the people of Cambodia and the United Kingdom.
