Battambang: Cambodia and Thailand have successfully completed the installation of 94 temporary border markers, marking a significant milestone in their collaborative effort to define the border between the two nations. This achievement accounts for approximately 56 percent of the total planned markers, as noted by a senior official from Cambodia’s State Secretariat of Border Affairs.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the markers were strategically positioned along the border between markers No. 52 and No. 59 in Cambodia’s Kamrieng district, which is adjacent to Thailand’s Chanthaburi province. The joint field operation was conducted from November 8 to November 17, 2025.
The two countries initially agreed to install a total of 166 temporary markers. The remaining installations are expected to proceed in the near future, as confirmed by the Cambodian official. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of both nations to address and manage their shared border effectively.
