Cambodia and Thailand Hold Informal Border Committee Meeting

Anlong Veng:The Secretariats of the Cambodia-Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC) convened an informal meeting at the Choam-Sa Ngam International Border Checkpoint in Oddar Meanchey province to review bilateral agreements.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting took place on Tuesday morning and was attended by the Cambodian delegation led by Brigadier General Nit Narong and the Thai delegation led by Major General Kamphanat Waphansu.

Held at the invitation of the Cambodian RBC Secretariat of Military Region 4, the meeting was observed by ASEAN Observer Teams from both countries. Discussions focused on the implementation of the Joint Statement from the Third Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) held on December 27, 2025.

Additionally, the meeting addressed operational coordination and resolving issues to enhance mutual trust. The Royal Government and Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia reiterated their commitment to adhering to the December 2025 Joint Statement, the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand from October 2025, and other relevant agreements aimed at restoring peace and stability.
