Canberra: H.E. Nom Piseth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia to Australia, held a meeting with H.E. Don Farrell, Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism, Special Minister of State and Senator for South Australia, to explore avenues for strengthening and expanding economic and trade relations between Cambodia and Australia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Nom Piseth, accompanied by Mrs. Touch Pichet Phalkun, First Secretary, and Ms. Heng Huy Khey, Commercial Attach©, engaged in discussions with the Australian Minister on measures to promote trade, investment, and business connectivity. The discussions focused on potential sectors such as agriculture, agro-industry, and supply chains to diversify bilateral trade and foster shared economic growth.
The meeting also addressed ways to enhance tourism cooperation between the two nations. Key points included infrastructure development and the enhancement of direct air connectivity, aiming to boost tourism and promote stronger ties in this sector between Cambodia and Australia.
