Kandal: The ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) this morning inspected the implementation of the first phase of the removal of heavy and destructive weapons and equipment that were returned to their original location in Kandal province. The inspection was coordinated by the Coordinating Task Force for the Observer Team of the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia, said the Ministry’s Spokeswoman H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, these heavy and destructive weapons and equipment were withdrawn from Choam Ksant and Rovieng districts, Preah Vihear province, on November 1, 2025, at 6:45 p.m. This action was taken in accordance with the phased removal plan for heavy and destructive weapons and equipment agreed upon by both Cambodia and Thailand.

She also expressed hope that both sides will fully and effectively implement the Joint Declaration in Kuala Lumpur with sincerity, goodwill, and transparency. This is aimed at contributing to the promotion of peace, stability, cooperation, development, and the swift return to normalcy.
