Cambodia's famed Angkor Archeological Park welcomed 385,769 foreign tourists in the first three months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 47 percent, a report from the Angkor Enterprise showed on Monday. The park earned US$16.5 million as revenue from the entrance ticket sales, a surge of 48 percent, it pointed out. In March alone, the Angkor Enterprise generated US$5.2 million, up 41 percent from entrance pass sales to 111,684 foreign tourists, up 40 percent. The entrance fee for a one-day visit to the park is US$37, while a three-day visit costs US$62, and US$72 for a week-long visit. Located in Siem Reap province, the 401-square-kilometre Angkor Archeological Park, inscribed on the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1992, is the most popular tourist destination in this Southeast Asian nation.
