Hanoi: A delegation from the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) is currently undertaking a five-day working visit to Vietnam. This visit, made at the invitation of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), aims to reinforce the longstanding bilateral media cooperation between the two news organizations.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during their visit to VNA’s headquarters in Hanoi, the delegation engaged in discussions with Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai, Director of VNA’s Photo Department. Mr. Hai emphasized the historical relationship between AKP and VNA, noting the sustained partnership through professional exchanges, technical cooperation, and initiatives in capacity-building, particularly in human-resource training and newsroom development.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai expressed optimism about the future of the cooperation between the two agencies, asserting VNA’s commitment to supporting AKP with technical assistance projects, exchange programs, and joint activities. These initiatives are intended to enhance news production, improve content quality, and align with the demands of fast-paced, modern journalism. ‘VNA will continue to extend all possible support to AKP in order to strengthen technical capacities and help improve the quality and speed of news production,’ he stated.
The AKP delegates are also focusing on gaining insights into VNA’s photo preservation techniques and newsroom practices, particularly their expertise in professional photography and digital-era newsroom workflows. Mr. Khem Sovannara, Deputy Director of AKP’s Photo Department and head of the delegation, expressed gratitude for VNA’s hospitality and the valuable technical knowledge shared during the visit. ‘The experience and technologies we have seen at VNA will be highly beneficial for AKP as we work to strengthen our own news production capacity,’ he remarked.
