Phnom penh: The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has forecast that the 2025 rainy season will end in the first week of November.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the southwest monsoon currently affecting Cambodia will cease its influence during the first week of November, marking the conclusion of the 2025 rainy season. The country will then come under the influence of the northeast monsoon, during which rainfall across the nation will decline to a maximum, the Ministry announced in a weather forecast released on Oct. 3.
MOWRAM urged the public to use water sparingly, protect water sources responsibly, and remain cautious of possible weather-related incidents. In addition, all line units and municipal and provincial departments under MOWRAM were instructed to take effective measures to preserve and store water at every source and to ensure that reservoirs are adequately filled.
