The Cambodian high-level delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen arrived in Geneva, Switzerland on Oct. 22 to attend the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) 2018 World Investment Forum (WIF).
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, this international conference will be held under the overall theme Investing in Sustainable Development.
At the Global Leaders Investment Summit, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will deliver a keynote speech on investment in the new era of globalisation and industrialisation and also Cambodia's business opportunities in the context of an integrated market. He will also attend the Leaders Luncheon with the Investment Advisory Council during which he will share his vision and experience on the same topic.
On the sidelines of the Forum, the Cambodian Premier will hold separate meetings with the leaders of some key international organisations, namely H.E. Francis Gurry, Director General of World Intellectual Property Organisation, H.E. Ms. Arancha Gonzalez, Executive Director of International Trade Centre, H.E. Roberto Carvalho AzevA�do, Director General of the World Trade Organisation, and H.E. Mukhisa Kituyi, Secretary General of UNCTAD.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen will also meet with H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet, High Commissioner for Human Rights. Following the meeting, he will preside over the signing by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn and H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet, of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights for the Implementation of a Technical Cooperation Programme on Human Rights.
During his stay in Switzerland from Oct. 22 to 24, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will also meet with members of the Cambodian community and students living and studying in Switzerland.
